Mother-Centered Birth - A Longmont Homebirth

I could easily share over 200 images from this beautiful homebirth I attended in Longmont this Spring. But I think these twelve images are so powerful and important to see.

Hands off birth is possible.

My client had her wonderful midwife nearby…quietly and unobtrusively monitoring mom and baby. But so often, all we need to do as birth workers is sit, watch, and observe.

Because our bodies know how to birth our babies. Our hands can be the very first ones to reach down and greet them. I love when midwives and birth workers allow parents to take the lead like this.

My client is a fellow doula, and I was so happy she was able to have the type of birth that she (no doubt) has helped other families achieve.
