I’m a Denver birth doula and photographer with more than a decade of experience supporting families through labor while documenting the moments they want to remember. I’ve attended hundreds of hospital births, including many at Rose, and my doula packages include professional birth photography and film.
Rose is one of Denver’s most popular places to have a baby…and for good reason. The providers and nurses are known for providing compassionate and evidence-based care in the heart of Denver. With a combination of private practices, hospitals, and Kaiser, hundreds of families choose to have their baby every month.
What it’s Like Giving Birth at Rose
Newly renovated birth and postpartum rooms that offer showers and birth tubs.
Wireless monitors are offered.
Separate entrance with 24/7 security. An ID is required to visit anyone in the Rose Babies unit.
Visitors are currently based on your discretion. You can have a doula, your mom, your friend, or you can keep your birth private with just you and your partner.
Golden hour is offered and encouraged.
Gentle Cesareans with clear drapes. Partners are allowed into the OR during epidural placement. Doulas are often allowed back into the OR as well.
Nurses are often well versed in Spinning Babies and work hard to help patients achieve a vaginal birth.
24/7 anesthesia availability and a Level III NICU
Rose is busy! Be prepared for a very full labor and delivery floor and postpartum unit.
